Although most exteriors were shot in Massachusetts, a few scenes were shot in Los Angeles, specifically at the Greystone Mansion.
The Greystone Mansion grounds are always open to the public, but once or twice a year they open up the inside for tours, but get your tickets quickly! Jack’s bedroom looks about the same. This room was also used in the miniseries, I Am The Night.
His bathroom is actually an adjacent room, best known for the final scene in All of Me.
From what I can tell, the actual kitchen was used for most shots, but assuming it was rebuilt in the studio for special effects scenes.
I can’t confirm, but it’s reported they used the pool at the Warner Bros. Ranch; and they simply built a set over it as they did in Gremlins. This pool was also used in Christmas Vacation.
