Today marks the 40th anniversary for PSYCHO II, a pretty worthy successor to the iconic original film. The film was shot almost entirely at Universal Studios, so just a handful of locations.
After the flashback pre-credit scene, the opening titles are shown over the Bates house on the Universal backlot.
The courthouse establishing shot was at 1415 Truxtun Avenue in Bakersfield, California. I have not been to this location, but used a Google streetview for reference.
They did not re-build the entire motel until Psycho III, so the right half of this shot is a matte painting.

Thanks to the recent release of Tom Holland’s new book on the making of the movie, the exact location of the diner has been confirmed. This was near the south end of Steven Spielberg Drive. The house you see in the background is at 3375 Blair Drive.
