Although I’m not a fan of the Crocodile Dundee films… and not even sure if I saw the first two, I was intrigued at the third entry as it took place in Los Angeles. Shot in both Australia and California, below are several of the L.A. locations used in the film.
I worked hard to find the mansion, although later I would find production notes detailing exactly where it is located. It is at 718 North Hillcrest Boulevard in Beverly Hills.
Not too far away are these scenes shot on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
Paramount Pictures is located at 5515 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. It was used in a few scenes, while the “tour” was shot at Warner Roadshow Studios in Queensland, Australia.
This location is used near the end of the film, too.
Another tough one to crack was the school. This was shot at 1009 Nithsdale Road in Pasadena.
As they walk home from school, they are now twenty miles away in front of this house at 619 North Alpine Drive in Beverly Hills.
They end up at Will Rogers Memorial Park at 800-876 North Canon Drive in Beverly Hills. I think I may have gotten the wrong section of the part where they walk around the ponds.
I was adamant about finding which Wendy’s Restaurant drive-thru they visited. After lots of research, I finally located it only to find it was demolished years ago. It was located at 3019 South Hoover Street near USC. Below are a few pictures I found of it online.
Boardners stood in for the gay bar, located at 1652 North Cherokee Avenue in Hollywood.
The alley scene was shot a few blocks away in between 1655 North McCadden Place. and 6724 Hollywood Boulevard.
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is located at 5905 Wilshire Boulevard, but sadly this building has been demolished. It was also featured in LA Story and Miracle Mile.
This spot is around 2819 Ocean Front Walk in Venice, California.
A few other locations were used including Venice Beach, Santa Monica, and Glendale, but hopefully will get to those on a future trip.
