Following the success of Terminator 2, James Cameron teamed with Arnold again for True Lies. I really enjoyed this movie, especially Jamie Lee Curtis, who has said this has been her favorite character besides Laurie Strode. It was shot all over the place, but a few locations are below to celebrate the release anniversary today.
The Swiss Embassy was actually the Ochre Court at Salve Regina University (52 Ochre Point Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island). I didn’t visit this location but my sister did and grabbed a few pics of the front exterior.
Last year, I stated at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel, located at 404 S Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles.
It was a last minute trip, so I didn’t have screenshots with me, but did the best to match up some areas.
The hotel has embraced their movies and there are plaques throughout the building identifying various filming locations and elevators.
This spot under the Sixth Street Bridge in Downtown Los Angeles was used for these scenes. Unfortunately, the bridge and surrounding buildings have been demolished.
The hotel was the Biltmore located at 506 South Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles
