The Stand (1994) Part 3

Part 3 of The Stand starts in Boulder, Colorado. Of course, in actuality it is Salt Lake City. Her house is at 505 3rd Avenue, right next to Jamie Lloyd’s house from Halloween 4 and Halloween 5.

The outdoor stage is located at 8841 Alpine Loop Scenic Byway in Sundance, Utah.

Back to Mother Abigail’s house. (Were these mowers really a thing?)

The Union Pacific building is located at 400 W S Temple in Salt Lake City. The only major change inside is to one of the doorways.

Larry’s new house is at 183 J Street in Salt Lake City.

Nadine’s house is at 30 U Street in Salt Lake. (The door is still blood red!)

I found Tom’s house at 475 S 1200 E in Salt Lake.

The church is located at 670 1100 E in Salt Lake City.

They were nice enough to let me in to take some pictures.

I found Harold’s house at 1265 100 S in Salt Lake City.

Some exteriors of Harold’s house….

Briefly back to Larry’s house….

The Boulder hospital is located at 140 E 200 S in Tooele, Utah. (I didn’t get down there, but found these shots on the internet.)

Nadine sneaks into Nick’s house to plant a bomb. The home is located at 589 7th Ave in Salt Lake City.

As you can see, they built out the front of the house for the explosion that will take place later.

Although they are supposed to be looking down on the town, they are back at the outdoor theatre many miles away….

Here you can better see how far they built out the front of the house for the explosion.

The four men are sent off to make a stand in Vegas. They are in front of the Little Dell Reservoir in Utah.

This location was too far to visit on my trip, but here are some google streetview shots of the cemetery in Fairfield, Utah.

The redneck's’ diner is no longer there, but it was located at approximately 198 E State Street in Lehi, Utah.

Not too far away is this intersection at N 100 W Street and West Main Street in Lehi, Utah.

The diner is now a shop, lcoatd at 102 W Main Street in Lehi.

They drive by the Round Up Rodeo Grounds located at 105 N 500 W Street in Lehi, Utah.

You obviously noticed that I didn’t include several other locations, mostly notable Fremont Street in Las Vegas. That area looks nothing like it did since filming and I haven’t personally visited it either.

Below are a couple people I met from the film including Shawnee Smith and Tom Holland. I recently had a nice chat with Rob Lowe while attending a Madonna concert, but alas… no phones were allowed, so no pic!
