The post-Scream years were some of my favorite times as it seemed like there was a new slasher every week. I thought, this is what it must have been like in the early 80’s! Urban Legend was one of the few that stood out in the crowd with a decent premise and good cast. I visited these locations over three years ago, which shows you how behind I am on posting. But as this is the 20th anniversary of the film, I thought I had no excuse but to finally get to publishing some location photos.
The film was shot in Toronto, Canada and used a couple different locations for the school. The photos throughout are from only the locations I was able to visit on this trip. Our first shot is of Victoria University’s alumni hall, located at 73 Queen Park's Crescent.
For the next scene we move to a different campus, Humber College. This is the G Building Centre for Entrepeneurship located at 3155 Lake Shore Boulevard West in Etobicoke, Ontario.
The building has been used in many films but most famously in the original Police Academy.
We move back to the University of Toronto St. George campus for the next few scenes. I’m not sure why I couldn’t get into this particular hallway at the time…
Several scenes occur at Knox College on the campus at 59 St. George Street in Toronto. As you may be able to tell, this building was closed for renovations during my visit so I was only able to get a few shots through the window.
Nearby on campus is the quad as the girls walk to the….
…the back of Diablos Coffee Bar located at 15 King’s College Circle in Toronto.
Part of the same building but on the entrance is the main building on the St. George campus.
Back to Knox College. Fortunately I was able to make my way into this hallway.
Knox College was also featured in the the tv series, Hannibal.
On yet another side of the main building on the St. George campus is this entrance.
They continue walking until they are right across from the student union as seen in the last shot, which is located at 12 Hart House Circle.
We move back to Humber College for this next location, also featured in Police Academy. This is known as the Cumberland House and is directly across from Building G.
Another building I couldn’t get into during my visit, but within here is the ‘radio station’ location.
Back to Building G on the Humber College campus. As you can see, lots of construction kept me from getting a lot of shots…
One area I couldn’t get into was by the side of the building seen in the finale…
As with a lot of horror films, I’ve been blessed to meet many of the actors and crew….
