Today marks the anniversary of The Initiation of Sarah, first broadcast on February 6, 1978. Riding the wave of Carrie, this film was actually pretty good, especially for a TV movie. I’ve actually only been to the one location, so the rest are some Google streetview comparisons. It will be high on my list on my next visit!
Sarah’s sorority house is located at 357 South Lorraine Boulevard in Los Angeles. This has been used in other films such as Cheaper By The Dozen, My Tutor, and Revenger of the Nerds Part III.
Thanks to set-jetter friend, Melanie Mullen, the mean girls’ sorority house was found just down the street at 444 Lorraine Boulevard. I haven’t been able to visit this spot, but thank you to Melanie for providing these photos!
