Today marks the anniversary for Star Trek Into Darkness, released May 16, 2013. Below are a few of the scenes shot in the Los Angeles area.
The Greystone Mansion has been used in hundreds of films. Here it is used as the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Located at 905 Loma Vista Drive in Los Angeles, the Greystone Mansion is open a few times a year for tours, I highly recommend it.
When you tour, they may have misidentified the room in which this scene takes place, but you can easily find the right room based on the windows.
This scene was shot at 650 South Spring Street in Downtown Los Angeles.
The interior was shot at 523 West 6th Street in Downtown Los Angeles; however this is a reverse shot looking down the same hallway.
Much of Starfleet Headquarters was shot at the Getty Center at 1200 Getty Center Drive in Los Angeles.
The Getty Center is a free museum and worth a visit.
The final building was shot on the Crystal Cathedral campus at 12141 Lewis Street in Garden Grove, California.
