Cloak & Dagger (1984)

Cloak & Dagger was a fun film and still holds up pretty well. Shot mostly in San Antonio, I visited some of the locations a few years ago.

The movie begins with a scene shot on the backlot of Universal Studios in Los Angeles.

We move to Texas for the Tower Life Building, located at 310 South St. Mary’s Street in San Antonio.

For the apartment, we switch to California. This is located at 14101 Dickens Street in Sherman Oaks.

The mall has changed a great deal, but was located at 100 West Broadway in Glendale, California.

One of the most unique locations to visit, a key scene was shot at the Japanese Tea Garden, located at 3853 North St. Mary’s Street in San Antonio, Texas.

The flee and catch the bus right outside the entrance.

The bus takes them to the intersection of East Nueva Street and South St Mary’s Street.

A lot of scenes take place at the River Walk; including this restaurant at 430 East Commerce Street.

The dock for the river cruise.

This outdoor theatre was also used in Miss Congeniality.

Back to the Tower Life Building….

The Alamo was also used, but unfortunately you cannot take pictures inside. I posted about this locaiton just yesterday for Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure.

A car chase and crash scene was shot at Universal Studios, but this section of the backlot no longer exists.

Back to the River Walk restaurant….
