Today marks the anniversary for Caddyshack. Decades later, this film is still pretty funny despite some of the material maybe not aging so well in the new millennium. I was fortunate enough to meet director Harold Ramis in 1988. The sequel was about to come out and he told me, don’t go see it!
Although supposedly taking place in my home state of Nebraska, it was shot in California and Florida. For this entry I concentrated on a few shots that showed up during the opening credits.
Danny’s house is at 232 N Avenue 54 in the Highland Park area of Los Angeles.
This is the often-used corner of Mission Street and Meridian Avenue. This area has also been seen in 13 Going On 30, Step Brothers, Prom Night, and Halloween.
Here he bikes by the houses at 400, 410 and 418 South Lucerne Boulevard in Los Angeles.
Same neighborhood, but this house is now mostly obscured by landscaping. It is at 465 S Muirfield Road.
And back to the house at 400 South Lucerne Boulevard.
This house is at 511 South Muirfield Road and was also featured in One Dark Night, the Tate mansion in Soap, and many other films and television shows.
And finally this mansion at 365 South Hudson Avenue, which was also featured in one of my favorites, Maid To Order.
