Released on June 17, 1977, in Sensurround, this seems to be largely a forgotten movie. I didn’t see it until it was on broadcast television, but remember it well. It was shot at a number of amusement parks across the country - Kings Dominion (Virginia), Ocean View Amusement Park (Virginia), and Six Flags (California), as well as some scenes in Chicago.
I wanted to hunt down the house seen in the film.
As they drive through a neighborhood, there is a visible street signs showing “13000 W Arapahoe Circle.” Not sure why they went to the extent to alter it, but it is actually the corner of 13000 Killion Street. This is just a block from the Raising Hope house, which has sadly been demolished.
They were actually turning into the neighborhood for the house, located at 13006 Cumpston Street in Sherman Oaks.
I’m sure the people living there have no idea a movie was filmed there!
