Today marks the anniversary for MOVING VIOLATIONS, released April 19, 1985. I visited these locations almost ten years ago and posted on my blog. Since that time, these have shown up on IMDB, but I’m proud to have found them first for one of my favorite 80’s comedies. The first half of pictures are taken from years ago, but later are more recent ones.
The opening credit scene at the “Birch County Police Station” was shot at 515 South Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles.
They pull out on 5th Street toward the LA Center Studios.
The Donut Hole is at 15300 Amar Road in La Puente, California. This is not too far from the town scenes in Halloween H20.
Over a decade later I returned to The Donut Hole…
The drive-thru restaurant was shot at 1701 Colorado Boulevard in Eagle Rock, California. This later was used in an episode of Physical.
The deputy’s house is at 2676 Bitternut Circle in Simi Valley, California.
The parade scene was shot in Long Beach, California.
The next scene was shot at the corner of 1st Street and Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach.
It appears a few scenes were shot at LA Center Studios.
The Roth house was shot at 2776 Gum Circle in Simi Valley, California.
UPDATES!
I finally got to the main location! This is at the Civic & Cultural Center in Brea, California.
Years ago, my friend Shawn took these photos of the Brea Conference Center locations!
This was a bit tough to find but the girls house is at 9723 Beverlywood Street in Los Angeles.
The impound lot was at 1033 N Fuller Avenue in Los Angeles.
The nursery was at 155 N Pacific Coast Highway, although matte shots were used for the long shots.
This scene was shot at Craig Regional Park at 3300 N State College Boulevard in Fullerton, California.
This was shot in the parking lot just west of the building at 101 Continental Boulevard in Los Angeles.
A bit of a location fail here as there were lots of vehicles blocking my shot, but the mall was shat at Westfield Promenade in Woodland Hills.
