I vividly recall seeing Like Father Like Son in the theatre and loving it. Although I can’t stand the current Kirk Cameron, the movie still has some funny moments and Dudley Moore is great. Plus, I love Catherine Hicks in all her films. I’ve been to a few locations over the years, see below…
The main house is at 3959 Longridge Avenue in Sherman Oaks, California. During all my visits, you can’t even see the house due to the trees. Also of note, Lily Tomlin now lives here!
Trigger’s house is at 4242 Agnes Avenue in Studio City, California. This is right down the block from a location used in Freddy’s Dead.
Most of the high school scenes were shot at 3939 Tracy Street in Los Angeles. This spot is used quite a bit, most notably for A Nightmare On Elm Street, Pretty In Pink, and Grease.
The track was a different location at 17000 Haynes Street in Encino. I wasn’t able to get on the track, but you can see the back of the concession stand here.
Lori’s house is at 3868 Vanalden Avenue in Tarzana.
