The short-lived spin-off of Three's Company, The Ropers, lasted two seasons from 1979-80. Although cut from the same fabric of it's originating series, it failed to find it's audience, which is sad as Norman Fell and Audra Lindley created great characters. I had been contacted before about finding the exterior location, but never had any luck as there were only a couple screenshots at the time. A few weeks ago, I came across the first episode, which gave me enough clues to be able track it down in the Hancock Park area at 650 Wilcox Avenue.

Astute viewers will notice a "46" on the door, and while there is a "646" a couple doors down, it does not match up with any of the shots. I did match up the tree with the squiggly branch as well as the brickface to ensure I had the right spot.
